On Thursday, rallies were held in Tehran, Mashhad and Bushehr in support of the Panjshir Resistance Front, attended by Iranian and Afghan citizens. In Tehran, separate rallies were held in Azadi Square as well as Mirdamad Street, and police reportedly dispersed the protesters by dispersing them.
A group of Iranian and Afghan citizens gathered on Mirdamad Street in Tehran on Thursday, chanting slogans such as "Death to the Taliban" and "Death to Pakistan."

The Taliban Interior Ministry said in its first statement that unauthorized rallies were prohibited and that details of any demonstrations, such as purpose, slogans, location and time, must be notified to the Ministry of Justice 24 hours in advance and violators will be dealt with severely.
