The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, Hussein Amir Abdullahian, tweeted about his "fruitful" meetings with his Indian, Vietnamese, Finnish and Luxembourg counterparts on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York, and said that they had discussed bilateral and international issues.
Coinciding with Ibrahim Reisi's speech at the UN General Assembly, a large number of trucks equipped with large screens traveled across New York City in protest, displaying photographs of Islamic Republic officials and explaining their record of human rights abuses.

During a meeting with his Vietnamese counterpart on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said: "The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to help improve the situation of the corona in Vietnam by issuing Iranian-made corona vaccines."
