ISIL claimed responsibility for a series of bombings in Jalalabad, eastern Afghanistan, on Saturday and Sunday. The group says 35 Taliban members were killed or wounded in the bombings.
Afghan media reported an explosion in Jalalabad against a Taliban vehicle that caused several Taliban fighters to be taken to hospital. The blast occurred less than 24 hours after a similar blast in the same city, which also targeted Taliban vehicles, killing at least two people and wounding 19 others.
