Two sources in the Afghanistan International Resistance Front say that in the recent battle of Panjshir, Pakistani special forces familiar with Panjshir lands and have a map of the area stormed the strongholds of the resistance forces from the air. ISAI is in Kabul
Sources close to the Popular Resistance Front to Afghanistan International reported that Amrullah Saleh, the former vice president of Afghanistan, had fled Panjshir to Tajikistan. Mr. Saleh has been with Ahmad Massoud in Panjshir for the past three weeks. It is reported that Ahmad Massoud is in a safe place in Panjshir.
Reports indicate that fighting continues in parts of Panjshir, with forces affiliated with Izdiar's science, Fazl Ahmad Manavi and several other resistance commanders engaged in heavy fighting with the Taliban.
Saleh Mohammad Rigestani, commander of Gol Haidar, and Munib Amiri were also reportedly killed in a recent Taliban operation in Panjshir.
Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, in separate telephone conversations with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, as well as the Emir of Qatar on Afghanistan, stressed that the international community must remain active in helping the Afghan people and rebuilding the country.
