The United States has condemned an Iranian-backed Houthi missile strike on Saudi Arabia



Some news sources, including a CBS correspondent, say Maulvi Fassihuddin, a senior Taliban commander and the group's chief of operations in northeastern Afghanistan, was killed in a battle with the Popular Resistance Front in Panjshir.

In a meeting with Mullah Abdul Ghani Brother and Taliban officials in Kabul on Sunday, UNHCR Representative Martin Griffiths said he reaffirmed the organization's commitment to providing unbiased humanitarian assistance and supporting the millions in need in Afghanistan.

Panjshir Governor Kamaluddin Nezami told Afghanistan International that resistance positions had been repeatedly bombed by UAVs. Earlier, a former member of the Afghan parliament had reported the bombing of Panjshir by Pakistani drones and smart bombs. Taliban spokesman Naeem Wardak denied the news.
